Integrative,client-centered therapy
For individuals seeking support with a range of mental health concerns -- including depression, anxiety, grief, low self-esteem and burnout -- I use an integrated approach that interweaves cognitive, emotional and somatic modalities into a client-centered approach. Client-centered therapy, also known as person-centered therapy, emphasizes a safe, non-judgmental space where you — the client — are the expert in your own life. It is built on the belief that every individual has an innate capacity for healing and self-actualization when supported with genuine care and respect. Rather than directing or advising, client-centered therapy encourages self-exploration and personal growth, helping you uncover solutions to challenges impacting your mental health. The incorporation of cognitive, emotional and somatic modalities into this non-directive approach facilitates healing and growth, depending on the needs of the individual.
Trauma therapy
Whether stemming from a single event or prolonged distress, trauma can affect your emotions, thoughts, and body in profound ways. Trauma therapy provides a safe, supportive space to address these effects with care and expertise. Using evidence-based modalities including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, Sensorimotor psychotherapy and Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy, we will work together to process painful memories, reduce distressing symptoms and rebuild a sense of safety. The process is individualized to your unique needs and sequenced and paced according to best practice in the trauma therapy field.
